Buddha statue in the gardens at Emerson's on Main
Our story · Est. 2013

Our little piece of Asia, on the South Coast.

2007

The first trip.

Rebecca and Laurie take their first trip to Asia — and fall for it. The markets, the makers, the treasures.

Then

The long way round.

They travel Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam and Central Java — filling notebooks first, then shipping containers.

2012

Three acres on the highway.

An opportunity comes up: a property on the Princes Hwy at Ulladulla. They take it.

2013

Emerson's opens.

A licensed café, rooms of homewares, a yard full of pots — our little piece of Asia on the South Coast of NSW.

Today

The place people pull over for.

Rooms of treasures. Christmas all year. And the coffee's always on. Open 7 days.

Then and now — the original roadside block, and Emerson's on Main today THEN & NOW · 391 PRINCES HWY
The same block on the highway — then, and as Emerson's today.
